Comments: My Great Grandfather, Charles Albert Tinguely owned a store in San Marcial. In 1909 he paid someone to burn it down and collected the insurance. Afterward he felt guilty about it and returned the money. He was then charged with arson and served 18 months in the penitentiary in Santa Fe. I have a photo of his store, but cannot tell exactly where the store was located. The town was later totally wiped out by a flood, but I want to stand on the spot wher the store was. I have ben to the site of the old town, but there is little to go by. If there are any newspaper accounts, or especially photographs about this incident I would like to find them. Thanks,
